Basil and Mustard Pek-a-roni Cheese

  • 1 punnet of mushrooms
  • 1 carton of double cream
  • 1 can PEK Chopped Pork
  • 300g Macaroni (75g per person serving 4) Cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Mustard
  • Basil leaves
  • Salt and pepper to season


  • Chop and fry the mushrooms
  • Chop the basil leaves and add to the mushrooms
  • Stir in the carton of cream and a tablespoon of mustard
  • Chop the PEK into cubes and add to the mixture
  • Grate some cheese and add to taste
  • Let the ingredients simmer on a low heat
  • Cook and drain the Macaroni and place in a baking tray
  • Remove the PEK and mushroom sauce mix from the heat and stir into the pasta
  • Sprinkle with grated cheese and season with salt and pepper to taste
  • Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C
